BOSTON, February 3rd, 2012 – Featuring in BRIDGE CENTER’S fundraiser, André-Philippe Gagnon is set to perform at the Wilbur on April 16, 2012 at 7:30 pm.

André-Philippe Gagnon’s talent is unique; unlike other impersonators who reproduce only the speaking voices of their subjects, Gagnon can perform note-perfect singing voices of many of the world’s most celebrated singers. A Quebec native, he first acquired international success in 1985 when he participated in the prestigious Just for Laughs Festival impersonating with accuracy every artist from the famous song “We Are the World.” This became Gagnon’s signature number, which he performed on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and in sold-out venues across the world, from New York to Paris to London to Switzerland.

In subsequent shows, Gagnon has entertained audiences in over 11 countries, performing more than 5,000 shows, before over 6 million people. He has broken box office records and won international critical acclaim.

«You simply have to hear it to believe it » raved the New York Times, the Globe and Mail wrote «The crowd stays on its feet stomping, crying: more, more, more! », Le Figaro Paris declared Gagnon « A vocal phenomenon! » and CBC said « Ambitious show. Great talent. Fun, modern and entertaining. »

In 1999, Gagnon began two multi-year, smash-hit engagements in Las Vegas – first at the Venetian and then at Paris. He became one of Vegas’ reigning stars and was declared Las Vegas’ Newcomer of the Year by Las Vegas Today. Now teaming up with Bill Blumenreich’s team, the artist that many consider to be the best impressionist in the world hits New-England!

In THE ONE-MAN HIT PARADE, Gagnon borrows the famous voices of vocalists from around the world to showcase what is, in his opinion, the musical history of the last sixty years. He brings together artists who have never appeared on the same stage before – everyone from Elvis, Barry White, Guns N’ Roses, Gnarls Barkely, Maroon5 and even Susan Boyle – creating a true parade of hits. The result is a combination of music, comedy and creativity –Gagnon’s most personal show ever.
